Ruth's Brant

I had the pleasure of meeting him for the first time this morning. He
seems like a good guy with a great sense of humor. Nice work Ruth!

"Good guy"? "Great sense of humor"??? Come on! We need details! Probing insights! Psychoanalysis! ;)

I second Ang's motion. When are we gonna get some real details! Maybe we need to turn to Jessica about this - I bet she can give us the real skinny.

Ladies, as you know, this is a public forum. There is a good chance that Brant will read this and then won't you feel silly? Perhaps your comments might be better served in a private forum?

I'm not sure what juicy gossip I was supposed to be scooping, but he did seem like a nice guy and he didn't give me any crazy looks that I could psychoanalyze, so I am not sure what else I can say.

I'm quite sure Brant knows it's all in good fun and that Nancy and I are just trying to compensate for never having had the privilege of meeting him.

We don't want juicy gossip - we want truths in greater quantity than we are getting!
And if Brant is reading this - Hey Brant! How are ya?

Well, I'm not sure if this is what you are after, but I will now proceed to regurgitate all the info from the conversations I can remember with him:

He is an engineer who works to provide machinery to oil drillers. His shop has the capability to do just about whatever he engineers so from my understanding that means they have CAD operated mills, lathes, etc. as well as a staff of fabricators.

He is originally from Bryan and his 3 brothers and 1 sister still all live there. He likes to go shooting (plinking) with his brothers for good times.

Shoot, is that all I can remember from Sunday till now? Maybe I talked too much and didn't let him say anything....ummmm....

Oh, he looks like an ex-wrestler or football player, but he actually played tennis in HS. (Watch out for Aunt Barb) He reports that he almost wishes he would have done football.

...ummmm.....

Phew...it has been a long few days?

One more thing....Ruth and him were up here for the Nascar races in Arlington. He did mention that this was his first race, but that he would come again if invited. He seemed to have enjoyed himself despite having slept in a trailer with a group of guys he didn't know (in terms of familiarity or quantity) and ending up smelling like a mix of man-sweat and cigarettes (no, I didn't smell him, this is what he was saying he smelled like.)

Well thank you very much! That was a little more what I was looking for.
